Cellulite
Cellulite refers to the dimpled, lumpy appearance of the skin, commonly found on the buttocks, thighs, and hips. It is a cosmetic condition caused by the interaction of fat deposits beneath the skin, connective tissue, and the overlying skin. The fat cells push against the connective tissue, creating a bulging effect and giving the skin a textured appearance. Factors such as genetics, hormonal changes, and lifestyle choices, including poor diet and lack of exercise, can contribute to the development and visibility of cellulite. While not a medical concern, cellulite is often a source of aesthetic concern for many individuals, and various treatments and products are marketed to reduce its appearance, although their effectiveness can vary.
